Michael Hannes was a member of the Beta Pledge class of the Lamdeth chapter. He served as the chapter advisor for many years, embodied brotherhood, and always gave more to the chapter than he ever asked in return. We, unfortunately, lost Michael Hannes before his time. In honor of Michael, a group of alumni came together to establish a scholarship to give to young men that most embody the qualities and memory of Michael Hannes.
Acacia Fraternity is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for men who display strong leadership potential and academic success. The Michael S. Hannes Memorial Scholarship is for young men who strive for and have excelled in academics, have the desire to be leaders among their peers, and have a strong will to give back to their community.
Acacia is awarding multiple $1000 and $500 scholarships from the Michael S. Hannes Memorial Scholarship Fund to incoming University of Wisconsin freshmen. Scholarship winners will be selected on the basis of academic achievements, character, extracurricular activities, and community involvement.
Even if you have not made the final decision to attend school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, we encourage you to submit an application. No affiliation with Acacia is required to receive these scholarships. The form due date is August 10th, 2020.
